Why I’m Running
Hawaiʻi faces real challenges. Families are struggling with the cost of living. Local residents are being priced out of their communities. Government often feels distant from the people it serves.
I am running for Lieutenant Governor because I believe Hawaiʻi can do better. We need leadership that is accountable, practical, and rooted in service to our communities.
This campaign is about bringing people together to protect what makes Hawaiʻi special while building opportunities for future generations.
My Five Pillars
-
What does clean government mean?
Government should work for the people, not political insiders, special interests, or connected individuals.
Daniel Anthony supports greater transparency, stronger public accountability, easier access to government information, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Hawaiʻi residents deserve confidence that decisions are being made in the public interest.
-
How will we help local families stay in Hawaiʻi?
Too many local families are struggling with housing costs, rising prices, and limited economic opportunities.
Daniel’s focus is on practical solutions that make it easier for residents to build a future here at home. That includes supporting workforce housing, expanding economic opportunity, reducing unnecessary barriers for local businesses, and strengthening policies that help local families remain in Hawaiʻi.
-
Why is government performance a campaign priority?
People should be able to get answers, permits, services, and assistance without unnecessary delays and bureaucracy.
Daniel believes state government should be responsive, efficient, and focused on solving problems. Success should be measured by results, not promises.
-
Why is emergency preparedness so important?
Recent disasters have demonstrated the need for stronger coordination among state agencies, counties, first responders, and community organizations.
As Lieutenant Governor, Daniel would prioritize emergency planning, communication systems, recovery coordination, and community resilience to ensure Hawaiʻi is better prepared for future emergencies.
-
What is island fairness?
Every island deserves to be heard and represented.
Communities on neighbor islands often face different challenges than those on Oʻahu. Daniel believes state government should listen carefully to local communities and ensure resources, services, and opportunities are distributed fairly across all islands.
